Annecy...

Is a fun place. The lake is draining through a controlled system of canals--very artsy and reminiscent of Venice (not that I would know of course). B and I ate pizza at a very SLOW restaurant and chatted with a German couple next to us. Their German or French wasn't as good as ours so we agreed to speak English with them. B did a magic show and demonstrated playing hockey with salt and pepper shakers--it's now all the European rage and will soon be sweeping the states.

Tomorrow we hope to get out again before departing for Italy. Love to all at home, J and B
