Now we're home and the festivities are over. The warm memories of our amazing trip are still fresh in my mind. I've yet to download the camera to find the "perfect" photo that will be a good summary, but will try to put together some memories in some sort of order so that the story of what the Italians and French did to honor our families and all Americans will not be forgotten by us. I can already feel "normal" everyday life and it's demands creeping back into my primary attention and focus. Still, Brooks and I have been permanently touched and won't forget this trip.
